Well hello guys. Just wanted to share the newest dress I just finished, and I just LOVE the way it came out! This dress I made from a Simplicity pattern. (With slight variations) I was flipping through a magazine a few weeks ago and came across this ad for Sears.
I liked how it was so fresh and girly. I have always had this thing for checks and plaids (sucka'!)
Anyway, I came across some yellow and white check at a nearby fabric store for $1.75 a yard! Sirens went off in my head and I HAD to get it. So this was my finished project.

I tryed doing the hot pink flower on the sash like the ad had it, but my Husband was'nt crazy about it. So I decided to go with a Daisy. : )

  1. Hi! I came across your blog via The Cottage Mama blog. This dress is adorable. Can you tell me which pattern and variations you used? I'd like to make something similar for my daughter's first birthday. thanks! Danica

  2. Hi floradanica. I am so sorry it has taken me this long to get back, I have tried and tried and tried to comment back, but for some reason my comment wouldn't publish...The dress is "New Look #6877. The only things I added were the flower, The straight band on the bottom and the green ribbon going across the tie. : )
